The Church - All See It Now (Distance Crunching Honchos With Echo Units)
You shouldn't have to feel so frightened
And you just wanna feel enlightened baby, in front of you
Oh my what love can do
You shouldn't have to hide in darkness
Its not such a good likeness baby, less of you
Oh yeah what love can do
And we all see it now
You talk a lot without a purpose
You walk around just like circus baby, is it true ?
That's what love did to you
You've got a friend who's very famous
I know you'd never ever shame us baby, but look at you
That's what fame can do
And we all see it now
You took a lot of people with you
And now expect them to forgive you, you're not through
That's what it means to you
And then you lie down on the sofa
You know you shouldn't really bother baby, I'm here too
That's what it does to you
And we all see it now

Wells The war is over The crypt we now taste In the late 1900's, there is no human race We split the
planet with atomic birth Man has died We seal the urn. Negotiations are over Troops are marching to
their doom All that I see is from a nightmare The smoke is blotting out the moon No, God please ...
What can I say - one of the most underrated bands of the 80's and certainly the best Aussie export. This is a flawless song in every way.

In D.C. there used to be a good independent radio station, WHFS, that used to play lots of underground stuff. I remember many times hearing the Church.
The 1980's version of that station is long gone, but well remembered. That is where I first heard the Church Early in 1986 about two months before they opened for Echo and the Bunnymen.
